The Goa police has concluded that the contractor who printed tickets was in cahoots with the three senior officials (president, secretary and treasurer) of the GCA and the committees formed for the conduct of the last ODI between India and Australia were totally sidelined, the 'Pioneer' newspaper said. The report said, it is understood that the contractor is believed to have paid Rupees two lakhs to the three officials to have the tender manipulated in his favour. The report also said, Dayanand Narvekar, former deputy chief minister and president of the GCA is believed to be the mastermind behind the scam which involved the printing of tickets more than the permissible number.
