Thursday, September 5 2002 21:36 Hrs (IST)

Nairobi: Undefeated Australia beat Kenya by five wickets on Thursday in the sixth match of the triangular One-day series, when it scored 205 runs with just a ball to spare, winning a place in Saturday's final against Pakistan.

Shane Watson hit the killer single on the penultimate ball of Australia's 50-over innings, taking his personal score to 77 not out.

Earlier in the day, Kenya scored 204 for nine in its allotted 50 overs after winning the toss and batting first.

It was a marked improvement for the host as its leading batsmen, Steve Tikolo and Maurice Odumbe returned to form. Tikolo made 35 off 54 balls before falling leg before to Shane Warne while Odumbe was not out for 55.

Australian pace bowler Nathan Hauritz took four wickets by tearing the lower order while Brett Lee, Andy Bichel and Shane Watson shared one wicket each.
