Melbourne: Test debutant Martin Love cannot be blamed for wanting to bat against England every week after continuing his flow of runs against the tourists on Friday. The 28-year-old Queenslander was left at the crease unbeaten on 62 when Steve Waugh declared Australia's first innings closed at 551 for six with England wallowing at 97 for three at the close of the second day on Friday. It continued a purple patch of batting form for Love, who scored 250 and 201 not out against the England tourists for Queensland and Australia 'A' respectively on this tour. "I'm seeing the ball pretty well against England at the moment and I've spent a fair amount of time facing its bowlers," Love said. "Unfortunately, I can't keep following England around all the time, it would be nice, but I've had a good run against them this year." Love is likely to get another run with the Australian team for the fifth Ashes Test in Sydney on January 2 with Lehmann still not over the effects of his infection. Copyright AFP 2001
