Rajkot: India's former One-day all-rounder Ajay Jadeja, after entering the Bollywood world, is now contemplating to enter the world of politics sources close to his family said.

Jadeja's father Daulatsinhji Jadeja was a former Member of Parliament and was elected from Jamnagar constituency four times running.

Jadeja had a fine One-day career and won some matches for India as he was known to be one of the best finishers in the short version of the game. He was, however, a total failure in the longer version having played only 15 Tests in a nine-year span.

But it seems that his future goals are fixed. He knows that he has almost no cricket left in him as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already slammed a five-year ban. Though the matter is in court, it is very unlikely that he will return to the field again.

Jadeja, however, has a lot of sporting years ahead of him and contemplated becoming a professional golfer. Jadeja has been playing a lot of golf since he got married to former Samata Party president Jaya Jaitley's daughter Aditi Jaitley. The game came so naturally to him that he was keen on taking up golf as a profession.

Having signed up for the Bollywood with Sunil Shetty, Jadeja has now turned his attention on following the footsteps of his father Daulatsinhji and mother-in-law Jaya Jaitley. His grand uncle Shatrushalayasinhji was also a politician from Jamnagar.

Ajay Jadeja himself recently visited quite a few places in Jamnagar on a charity mission. However, it is not certain as to which party he would join. His father contested from the Congress through out, while his mother-in-law is now with Samata. It is very likely that he may go for joining the Congress as his father and his supporters are still active. The recent results in the state election may favour that he follows his father. And that's his family's wish.
