The Non Khan-nonisation of KKR !!
Shah Rukh Khan has left South African shores and, believe me, arguably the happiest crew would be the Kolkata Knight Riders contingent (most members) that he owns. This year the `Khan" connect has been , a complete and utter disconnect!

Flashback, rewind and look in the rear view mirror, to the inaugural Indian Premier League, 2008! Shah Rukh Khan was Kolkata"s `chele" (son) and on every street corner, Kolkata Knight Riders, was all about SRK . So much so, that the original son, and `gaurobh" ( pride) of Bengal, Sourav Ganguly seemed to take second place. Such was the hype for the owner of the team, of the city that is wholly cricket crazed.

The Kolkata Knight Riders theme `korbo lorbo jeetbo re" (will do, will fight, will win) resonated with every game that was played and Eden Gardens burst into song whenever the camera panned on it"s new found son! He was the talk of town, from the old to the young, KKR was SRK.

Fast-forward to the second edition of the IPL. Played in a foreign land one expected that the local flavour would be erased. The Kolkata Knight Riders website aptly said, `We are going to South Africa but our hearts are in Kolkata"! If only that were true. The support staff numbered double digits, which in itself spells disaster and then came the infamous `Buchananic" ism of multiple captains. News channels beamed the press conference with Sourav Ganguly, visibly uninterested, sighing and sporting an array of ' what the f*

First up KKR made a mistake of opting for Ganguly who except for single scratchy innings he mostly "survived" single figure stints at crease. How can a player who is past his prime can be made a captain on top of this? He struggled to even see the ball in most of the innings. Nobody denies the greatness of this man who single handedly played some great knocks and made India a winning and fighting unit. However its all in the past!! Even calling him the man around whom the team revolves is nothing but lack of understanding on what is really is needed for the team. He is no Kumble, Dhoni, Warne or Gilchrist who led by example and quite remarkably so with their hard fought personal performances to back them. Its time he just hangs his boots and give younger players a chance.

Sharuk khan should have known that if at all Mr Ganjuly was made a captain this day would not have come. If you compare ( one should not do ) Ganguly vs Mucullum then one can conclude that Ganguly is the right person for decorating captaincy. Today has any one know how much Mucullum has scored in sereral matches after decorating captaincy, average will be 1-2. MORALE ONE CAN LEARN IS IMPORTED CAPTAIN WILL NOT DELIVER TREND WILL NOT BE APPLICABLE TO ALL . ONE SHOULD RESPECT SWDESHI CAPTAIN ALSO ( APPLICABLE TO BANGALORE CHALLENGERS ALSO) NEVER THE MIND MR KHAN DO NOT GET DISAPPOINT DEFINETLY KKR WILL "KORBO LORBO JEETO RE"
