Host to International tournaments since 1902, Edgbaston is one of England's most historic cricketing venues. That's not to say that it has not moved with the times; impressive developments in recent years have added to the ground however parts are starting to feel their age and could do with a complete overhaul, Edgbaston isn't the most pleasing of grounds on the eye but it certainly has a place in the hearts of the England players.

The ground put down the money and the bases for some permanent floodlights, but forgot to get planning permission, so those plans have since been stalled.

Edgbaston is widely regarded as the national team's favourite ground due to the high success rate (7 loses since 1902) and the lively atmosphere where dressing up is the norm.
