Lee raring to go: Gambhir

Speaking to the media on the eve of the match against Rajasthan Royals, Gambhir said that the reinforcement in the form of three Australians -- Lee, Brad Haddin and James Pattison -- aside from Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan will bolster up the side.

Asked if Lee's fitness status after he missed Australia's last ODI against Bangladesh yesterday, Gambhir said, "Brett Lee is fit and raring to go."

"All the four are landing tonight. Their presence will lend more depth that would mean that we can afford more flexibility in accord with demand of the situation. Only the teams who have the depth can be flexible," he said.

Gambhir shot back when asked if he would be looking to learn a few gimmicks on captaincy from Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane, saying, "Yes I am going to face him but I would not be there to learn from him. I have no such inclination. "It is often said that a captain is only as good as his team. I am happy to lead the KKR which is a great franchise and feel relaxed as never before in past few years," he said.

Asked about Australian Shane Watson who would be available for Rajasthan Royals after his world record number of sixes in an ODI against Bangladesh, Gambhir said, "He is in good form but Twenty20 is altogether different format where you don't have time to settle. We have plans for him but need to execute them," said Gambhir.
