Brisbane: India's last seven second innings wickets tumbled for 36 today to leave them facing defeat by Queensland.
Left-arm spinner Matthew Anderson snapped up four for 50 and paceman Scott Muller, dropped from the test side, took three for 37 as India, 124 behind on first innings, were dismissed for 204 at close on the third day.
Queensland, who were all out for 401 in their first innings earlier in the day, will start the fourth and final day tomorrow needing just 81 for victory.
Vangipurapu Laxman (73) and Rahul Dravid (42) provided the major resistance in India's second innings with an 85-run stand for the third wicket.
Laxman became the first of Anderson's victims on the final ball before tea, making India 125 for three, and when Dravid went next at 168, the collapse set in.
