Adelaide: Pakistan has named a 14-man squad for next month's triangular limited-overs tournament in Australia. Four players who were involved in Pakistan's recent 3-0 test defeat in Australia were dropped, and two new players called in.

Pacemen Waqar Younis and Mohammad Akram, leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed and opening batsmen Ghulam Ali were all dropped, while all-rounder Shahid Afridi and teenage off-spinner Shoaib Malik were included. Pakistan also named fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, despite allegations that he has an illegal action.
