Zimbabwe's second ground behind Harare, Bulawayo's Queens Sports Club is a beautiful ground surrounded by trees and looking a lot more rural and peaceful than it really is, considering its close proximity to the city centre. The ground first held a test in 1994 and has had undergone many improvements since, with a new pavilion and stand having been built in the last decade, increasing the ground?s capacity to 9000.

The Wicket:Like Harare, this ground has seen some very good batting performances, with South Africa's 363/3 in 2001/02 and New Zealand's 397/5 last year being the highest scores made in ODIs on the ground and Sri Lanka's amazing 713/3 the highest in tests. The scores attained on the pitch suggest that it favours batsmen, but the recent struggles of Zimbabwe?s bowling attack may be as much to blame as the wicket.
