Mumbai: Paras Mhambrey made a triumphant return to the Mumbai team after an injury lay-off making 75 runs to help Mumbai reach 376 runs at lunch on the second day of the five day Ranji Trophy final between Mumbai and Hyderabad at the Wankhede stadium here on Thursday.

In reply Hyderabad were 20 for two at lunch.

Mumbai resuming at their overnight score of 303 for six wickets took the score to 343 with Agarkar looking to go after the bowling while Paras ready to play the waiting game.

The Hyderabad fielding woes continued with Venkatpathy Raju dropping a simple catch in the gully giving Mhambrey his third life in the very second over of the day. Mhambrey was then on 41 and the unlucky bowler was Faiz Ahmed.

However, Agarkar after hitting two cracking fours was trapped lbw by N P Singh when he played back for 30. Pawar the new man was out in the next over edging a Raju delivery to the wicketkeeper for zero.

With Mhambrey also falling soon after to be bowled for 75, Mumbai innings folded up soon after. Raju, who claimed four wickets for 110 runs was the most successful bowler for Hyderabad. Hyderabad started disastrously losing the openers in consecutive overs to Agarkar and Kuruvilla before Laxman and Azhar steadied the innings.
