Sahara Cup to be held from September 9

New Delhi: The Sahara Cup cricket tournament between India and Pakistan will be resumed this year after a gap of one year.The fourth edition of the Cup, comprising a series of five One-day Internationals, will be played at Toronto from September 9 to 17.The Sahara India Pariwar and International Management Group (IMG) had entered into an agreement to hold the five-match One-day series between India and Pakistan in Toronto (Canada) for five years.So far three series - from 1996 to 1998 - have been held but due to the Kargil conflict last year, Sahara India decided against holding the series.

Chief controller Sahara India U K Bose told reporters here on Friday that his company along with IMG has again decided to resume the series to bring together two of the best cricketing nations in the world, to fight for their true supremacy in this most popular sports in the subcontinent.Trans World International (TWI) and ESPN will telecast all the matches live.The schedule: September 9: first match, September 10: second match, September 13: third match, September 16: fourth match, September 17: fifth match.UNI
