London: West Indies' already down 1-2 against England suffered further setback when their reliable batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul was ruled out of the final Test starting at The Oval on Thursday. Chanderpaul, suffering from tendonitis in his right elbow, has already missed the last two Tests. The Guyana left-hander's injury has weakened the Carribbean middle-order batting, which looked frail in the last few matches.
West Indies manager Ricky Skerritt claimed that Chanderpaul has been given the best possible care and quality specialists are taking care of him. West Indies face an uphill task as they had lost their last first-class match against Somerset by an embarrassing 269 runs.
