New Delhi: Former England captain Alec Stewart and former West Indies captain Brian Lara along with seven other foreign cricketers have been named by bookies as being involved in match-fixing, sports minister S S Dhindsa said on Tuesday.

Australian player Dean Jones has also been named in the report submitted by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to the government on Monday, Mr Dhindsa said.

Talking to newsmen on the report, he said nothing has been found against former Indian skipper Kapil Dev while another former captain Mohammed Azharuddin has been named in the report as having been involved.

Dhindsa said the report would be made public Wednesday. This decision was taken at a meeting he had with Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee here on Tuesday. He said the Prime Minister told him that the report should be made public.
