Rawalpindi: Former England captain Alec Stewart has declined to comment after he was named in an Indian report on match-fixing. Stewart is touring Pakistan with the England team. ''I am aware that my name has been mentioned but I will not make any comment,'' said Stewart at his hotel in Rawalpindi late Tuesday night. On the morning of the four-day match against the Patron's XI at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, England media manager Andrew Walpole said the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) would also not comment until it had seen the report.''The England Cricket Board is in touch with us and we will issue a press statement only when the report of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is officially released to the press. I cannot say anything at the moment,'' Walpole said. The CBI started its investigation in May this year after South Africa captain Hansie Cronje was sacked. Cronje was subsequently banned for life after admitting supplying information to bookmakers. (c) Reuters Limited. Click here for Restrictions
