Rawalpindi: Former England captain Alec Stewart practised at the Pindi Stadium on Thursday but declined to discuss his naming in an Indian report on match-fixing.Stewart was retained in the touring party to Pakistan after he denied on Thursday receiving money from a bookmaker as was alleged in a report by India's Central Bureau of Investigation.Stewart posed with fans for photographs and stayed in the nets for half an hour before joining Darren Gough, Andrew Caddick, Alex Tudor for fielding practice.Reporters, covering the tour match between Patron's XI and England, were kept away. Stewart is not allowed to talk to the media by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).An ECB statement on Wednesday said Stewart had talked with the chairman of the ECB, Lord MacLaurin, and chief executive Tim Lamb and assured them he had never received money for passing information to bookmakers.Stewart has been named in the report of the CBI by bookmaker Mukesh Gupta as having taken $ 7,238 for passing on weather and pitch reports to him.
