Hyderabad: Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who is at the centre of the match-fixing storm, continued to remain elusive for the third day on Thursday. Meanwhile the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) are awaiting instructions from the Cricket Board on his future. Azhar, who was named for the Hyderabad Ranji squad, did not turn up for the match against Karnataka now in progress in Bangalore. An HCA spokesman said that they had taken any decision on Azhar's status in the team but were waiting for instructions from the Board. Ever since the CBI report on match-fixing became public, Azhar has remained inaccessible to the media.
