London: Even as Alec Stewart Thursday denied selling information to Indian bookie Mukesh Gupta, British detectives investigating the match-fixing charges have disclosed that many more English cricketers could be involved. The 37-year-old former England captain, currently on tour in Pakistan, said, "My reputation is a good one and whenever I pack up playing, I'd like to think that it would still be a good one and I'll be remembered as someone who always gave his all for England." In London, meanwhile, detectives from the International Cricket Council's (ICC) anti-corruption unit have disclosed that many more English cricketers are being investigated for their possible involvement in the match-fixing scandal. The officers, who have flown to South Africa to interview disgraced former South African captain Hansie Cronje, have told the Daily Mail newspaper here that India's Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) 162-page report is the "tip of the iceberg". They have also said that the current investigations should be broadened from international cricket to include the county game. New information made available to the investigation unit led by former London police chief Sir Paul Condon is understood to be quite separate from the allegations made in the CBI report
