Hyderabad: With the women's World Cup set to commence form November 29 at New Zealand and the air heating up, Thatscricket.com met two Hyderabad cricketers Purnima Rau and Mithali Raj, who have been named in the Indian squad of 15 announced last week.Purnima Rau, who needs no introduction, is a seasoned campaigner havingrendered her able services for India for a good seven years now, whileMithali Raj, who made her debut last season when she toured England, isone of the most exciting prospects on the Indian horizon.Fresh from her stint at the recently concluded camp, Purnima Rau was verypleased with the way the camp went off. "We played a lot of matcheswhich gave the players an opportunity to find their bearings. We could workout the combinations and were richer for the experience of having playedthose matches," she said."Most of the batsmen found themselves among runs, which should do the players and the team a world of good," Purnima said about the two and a half weeks camp held at Chandigarh. While young Mithali was in concurrence with all that her senior mate hadto say she quipped that she did miss Diwali - understandable given that she still is a kid.
