Indore: National Cricket Academy XI had scored 28 for one in reply to Zimbabwe's 322 for six declared in the three-day tour opener for the visiting team at the Jawaharlal Stadium on Wednesday.Alistair Campbell's unbeaten century was the highlight of the Zimbabwe innings. Campbell's 114 not out came off 193 balls with 12 hits to the fence and three over it. Earlier Stuart Carlisle 61 from 83 balls with 10 fours and a six to give momentum to the Zimbabwe innings.Zimbabwe were 217 for five at tea with Alistair Campbell on 59 runs and captain Guy Whittall on 11 runs at the crease. Earlier, Stuart Carlisle's unbeaten half century and his unbroken third-wicket stand with Alistair Campbell helped Zimbabwe reach 121 for two at lunch. Carlisle (57) was at the crease at lunch after Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat.Carlisle was the more attacking of the two, reaching his 50 off just 51 balls with eight hits to the fence and one six. Zimbabwe were in trouble quickly losing opener Gavin Rennie for 15 with the total on 39. D Marillier after making 30 was out in captain Sodhi's first over giving a catch to Sriram at first slip.
