Sharjah: The United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia and Nepal may soon get recognition as One-day International (ODIs) teams. This was indicated here on Tuesday by Mr Anil Kalaver, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) director for organising the ACC Pepsi Cup tournament between eight non-Test playing Asian nations, beginning in Sharjah and Dubai on Wednesday. He said, ''The ACC has identified three countries - UAE, Malaysia and Nepal - to be on the road for recognition as ODI teams and eventually giving them the Test status''.Mr Kalaver said Sri Lanka had been entrusted with the task of developing cricket in the non-Test playing Asian countries so that they could graduate to a higher level.UNI
