Auckland: The Women's World Cup, scheduled to begin on November 19, gained momentum with the arrival of The Netherlands cricket team in New Zealand.Manager Betty Timmer said the team was looking forward to at least two victories in the coming edition of the World Cup. She said that her team would like to finish on top six so that they need not have to go through the qualifying rounds for the next World Cup.The Netherlands manager placed defending champions Australia as the overwhelming favourites to win the Cup. She said New Zealand would finish second. Her prediction was a final between Australia and New Zealand. The two wins that The Netherlands were looking forward to were against Ireland and Sri Lanka, the teams that they had beaten earlier. The team had a horrendous start at the outset and reached New Zealand 28 hours late.Their woes were compounded by misplaced luggage as they were stuck in Amsterdam due to fog in London. The players would first like to trace their luggage and then catch up on some sleep, she said. The Netherlands are also expected to play a few practice matches before kicking off their World Cup campaign
