New Delhi: Former President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Raj Singh Dungarpur on Tuesday asserted that last word was not yet said on Indian team's tour to Pakistan.Dungarpur who returned from Lahore after attending International Cricket Council's (ICC) Marketing and Finance meeting said here that he was still hopeful that the series would be salvaged. He, however, admitted that it was the prerogative of the Government to give clearance for the tour.Talking to newsmen at Feroze Shah Kotla here, Raj Singh Dungarpur, said he had a talk with foreign secretary Lalit Mansingh who assured him that the government decision was not an end of the bilateral cricket series. "India has not shut the door on Pakistan for ever," Dungarpur quoted foreign secretary as saying. Dungarpur however declined to comment on the decision to cancel the tour. I will not like comment on the government's decision to cancel the tour," he said. Dungarpur was of the view that Indo-Pak series should be revived and said he will meet External Affairs minister Jaswant Singh in this regard. He made it clear that his trip to Pakistan was purely an official one. "I went to Pakistan after 16 years and was warmly greeted but I found that there was considerable disappointment over the cancellation of the tour".UNI
