Colombo: Sri Lanka's Cricket Board on Tuesday announced it had awarded television rights for international-level matches played in the country to the World Sport group of Australia for a period of three years. The Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka (BCCSL) said in a statement it had sent a letter of intent to World Sport and expected to finalise an agreement within a month. The BCCSL did not say how much they expected from the deal, but press reports here had speculated the amount involved could be about $ 25 million. AFP
