Islamabad: Pakistan Cricket Board chairman (PCB) Tauqir Zia said on Monday that he was confident the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) would succeed in persuading India to revive a tour of Pakistan cancelled recently."There is a 70 per cent chance of the Indians landing in Pakistan by the end of next month," the state-run APP news agency quoted Zia as saying.Zia told reporters he was "still hopeful" as the ACC had set up a committee made up of the presidents of the Cricket Boards of Bangladesh, Malaysia and Sri Lanka to visit India in a bid to secure the tour."I am sure that the efforts of the committee will be fruitful," he said. He said the Pakistan Cricket Board would incur a huge loss if India did not undertake the tour originally scheduled to begin next month.India cancelled the tour earlier this month because of political tensions between the two countries. The decision angered Pakistan and the International Cricket Council (ICC) said India could face financial sanctions.Indians have not visited Pakistan since 1989-90 while the Pakistanis played two Tests and a One-day series in India last year."On our part, we have told ICC that Pakistan will have to review cricketing ties with that country (India) because we stand to lose many millions of dollars," Zia said.AFP
