Faisalabad: Pakistan all-rounder and former captain Wasim Akram was honoured by his team mates before the start of the second Test against England at the Iqbal Stadium for reaching a total of 100 Test appearances.Immediately after Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat, the team lined up to honour one of the greatest left arm fast bowlers and present him a golden plaque.Akram is the only bowler to have taken over 400 wickets at both Test and One-day level. His Test tally is 408 wickets at an average of 23.02 and 432 wickets in One-day international at an average of 23.81.Akram said, ''I am delighted, honoured and flattered. I am feeling younger and very much motivated by the occasion and the gesture shown to me by the members of the team.''I shall remember this for the rest of my life. I wish Pakistan does well here against England to make it even more memorable for me and Pakistan,'' he said.The plaque was presented to him by the former captain of Pakistan Javed Miandad who is now the coach of the team.
