Bhopal: Union Sports and Youth Affairs minister Uma Bharati on Saturday made it clear that the decision to cancel the Indian cricket team's tour to Pakistan was taken on the advice of the External Affairs Ministry.''My ministry has nothing to do with foreign tours of the Indian team,'' she said addressing a meet-the-press programme here.Ms Bharati said she had only conveyed the decision of the External Affairs Ministry to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Asked whether India would also not play against Pakistan in international meets, she said the decision would be applicable only on bilateral games and India would continue to play group events with the neighbouring country. She denied that the decision to drop the proposed cricket tour to Pakistan in January next was being reconsidered.UNI
