Cape Town: South African cricket selectors say they are in no rush to get fast bowler Allan Donald back on to the playing field. Donald has a stomach injury, which has kept him out of the two Tests and two One-day Internationals against Sri Lanka.Rushdie Magiet, the chairman of the selection panel, said Donald was vital to the team and therefore his return to the national side would be carefullyconsidered. Earlier, Donald had joined the team following a stomach muscle injury, but complained of pain during recent practice sessions. Rushdie said the selection panel would act fully on the advice of the medical team that is currently treating Donald. In the meantime, Donald is sitting on the benches at Newlands in Cape Town, where the second Test between South Africa and Sri Lanka entered its third day on Wednesday. The team physiotherapist is closely monitoring his condition as Donald offers advice to Mfuneko Ngam, who got his first Test break due to his exclusion from the team. India Abroad News Service
