Melbourne: Australian batsman Mark Waugh will be interviewed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) anti-corruption unit when its officials visit Australia next month. The Australian Cricket Board (ACB) said on Tuesday that Waugh had been asked to speak with investigators as part of a worldwide investigation into match-fixing.The ACB said their own independent investigator, Greg Melick, also wanted to question Waugh on allegations he took money from an illegal Indian bookmaker.Waugh has denied the allegations and agreed to co-operate with the inquiry. ''I don't think you can have these allegations made without giving Mark Waugh the chance to give his side of events,'' Melick said.Melick also revealed he had investigated two South Australian players, Darren Lehmann and Peter McIntyre, following concerns they had placed a bet on one of Australia's Tests with West Indies last month. But Melick said the matter had been dropped after he found there was no evidence of wrong doing.
