Lahore: Five leading players of the country - Wasim Akram, Mushtaq Ahmad, Saeed Anwar, Waqar Younis and Inzamam-ul-Haq have been together fined Rs Nine lakhs by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as per the recommendation of the Justice Qayyum report. A PCB spokesman disclosed here that the board has already recovered the dues from the players after imposing fine on them and they were deducted from their last year's earnings. Wasim Akram and Mushtaq Ahmad were fined the maximum-Rs 3 lakhs each while the other three - Anwar, Younis and Haq coughed up Rs one lakh each. The two players who have yet not paid the fine of Rs one lakh each are Ata-ur-Rehman and Akram Raza.The spokesman said that the board will deduct the money from their provident fund. He said decision regarding fine on Salim Malik will be taken only after the Lahore High Court decides his case.Malik has moved the court challenging the Qayyum report and ban imposed on him.UNI
