BCCI approve new rotation policy

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced new rotation policy and gave Test status to nine venues. As per the new policy, the Test venues will also host One day Internationals.
The Test centres are as follows: Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, Mohali, Bangalore, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Nagpur.
Talking to media persons after the working committee meeting, BCCI president AC Muthiah said from now onwards there will be no ambiguity as to which centre will host which match and when. He said it is going to be a very systematic rotation policy, which will eliminate any uncertainty and acrimony.
He said for the One-day Internationals the rotation order is: Vizag, Pune, Chennai, Kolkatta, Mumbai, Indore-Gwalior, Goa, Mohali, Delhi, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Cochin, Faridabad, Jamshedpur, Nagpur, Baroda, Cuttack, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kanpur and Rajkot.
The rotation order for the three dayers is - Jaipur-Jodhpur, Baroda, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Rajkot, Goa, Cuttack, Pune, Kochi, Jamshedpur, Vizag, Faridabad, Indore/Gwalior.
Muthiah said though the Wills Trophy has been postponed there is not going to be any change in the dates of other domestic tournaments. He said Challenger Trophy will be held as per schedule.
