Indian colts hold for draw and one-nil lead

Chennai: The second under-19 cricket Test match between England and India ended in a draw with the former finishing at 64 for two, chasing an improbable 325 in 41 overs for an outright win, on the fourth and final day on Tuesday. India lead the three-Test series 1-0.
After losing opener Nicky Peng for a duck, England skipper Ian Bell and other opener lefthander John Saddler, resuming after tea at 20 for one, plodded on to add 24 runs before Bell, offering no stroke, was bowled by left arm spinner Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan for seven.
Saddler remained not out on 31 (73 balls) and G Pratt (19 not out, 26 balls) when the play was called off after the eighth mandatory over.
Earlier, India riding on double centuries by openers Gautam Gambhir (212, 356 minutes, 25 fours and 2 sixers) and Vinayak Mane (201, 312 minutes, 22 fours, 4 sixers) and their first wicket stand of 391 runs, declared their second innings at 492 for four, an hour after lunch.
The third and final Test will be played at Hyderabad from January 26.
