Colombo: England's cricketers began training in Colombo on Thursday amid security usually reserved for visiting heads of state, but the tourists said they were unfazed by the protection measures.English coach Duncan Fletcher said the team did not notice the tight security arrangements provided by the elite Ministers' Security Division (MSD) of the Sri Lankan police."We did not notice the security as it did not get in the way," Fletcher said adding that he thought they had been given the same level of protection while in Pakistan and South Africa. The hotel where the England team is staying is guarded by police and the floor occupied by the team is also protected by plain-clothes MSD staff.Unidentified attackers threw two grenades at the offices of a British charity on Wednesday, hours before the England team led by Nasser Hussain arrived in the country for the three Test and three One-day International series. No one was hurt in Wednesday's grenade attack and the motives have yet to be established.Copyright AFP 2000
