Pune: Chairman of the selection committee Chandu Borde on Friday denied instructing Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) curators to make a flat pitch for the first Test against Australia at the Wankhede Stadium from February 27. Denying the reports in a section of the press that Borde along with Pitch Committee members K Rangan and Dhiraj Parsana, has asked for a docile pitch to nullify the big bowling advantage of the Australians, he said he was neither involved in preparation of the pitches nor had any conversation particularly about the pitches with India's coach John Wright. He said his job solely was to pick a national side after witnessing key domestic matches.
