Mumbai: "The Indians can beat the Australians in the coming home series, if they believe that they have it in themselves to beat the Australians," said legendary left-arm spinner Bishen Singh Bedi.Bedi, who was in Mumbai to play a match for the CCI XI against the Izingari here on Friday, said that if India has to beat Australia it has to field better. That is the key factor, he said and added that the bastmen should also score at a faster clip so that they give our bowlers something to bowl at.On the issue of turning tracks, Bedi said he did not believe in it. Anyway I do not believe that we ever had the know-how on how to prepare turning tracks. Our groundsmen are poor malis (gardeners) who only know how to water and roll the wickets. They do not have the knowledge of the soil or anything. He also said that in any case the Autralians have a much better spin line-up with Colin Miller as the danger man.On whether the absence of Anil Kumble will dent the Indian bowling attack, Bedi replied in the negative. ''I do not think we should even think of something which is not even there. Brett Lee is not there in the Australian side, are the Australians making any noise about it.''"I believe the forthcoming series is all about mind games. It is all in the mind. We have to think and plan properly and then implement those plans. If we get that right, half the battle is won,'' he concluded. UNI
