Chennai: Andhra Pradesh continued their winning spree by notching up a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Kerala in the South Zone women's cricket championship at the Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute ground on Wednesday.Defending champions Andhra Pradesh had beaten fancied Air India on Tuesday. Kerala, batting first, were bowled out for 116 with Savitha Kumari claiming three wickets, while Suvarna took two wickets. Andhra in reply rode on the unbeaten efforts of Priya and Sudharani to reach 118 for two.Karnataka, who had lost to Air India on the first day, scored their second victory when they defeated Tamil Nadu by 56 runs. Karnataka scored 162 for nine with Deepika (37), Karuna Jain (35) and Srivalli (27) contributing usefully with the bat.Tamil Nadu were bundled out for 106 with Nooshin Al-Khadheer (three wickets) and Deepika (two wickets) sharing the bowling honours.Scores: Karnataka 162 for nine (Deepika 37, Karuna 35, Srivalli 27) beat Tamil Nadu 106 all out (Tejaswini 20, Nooshin Al-Khadheer three for 19, Deepika two for 14).Kerala 116 all out (Shobana 22, Savitha Kumari three for 25, Suvarna two for 10) lost to Andhra Pradesh 118 for two (Priya 35 not out, Sudharani 26 not out).
