Mumbai: Indian cricket players, the visiting Aussies, film stars and celebrities will play "Raymond Heroes for Hope", a charity match for raising funds for quake-hit children of Gujarat to be played coming Sunday. The match will be held on February 25 at the Cricket Club of India (CCI). Raymond Group, which is the sole sponsor of the event, said that the proceeds of the match would be given to quake-hit children of Gujarat. "As one of India's largest corporate, we are trying to reach out to the nation in times of calamity such as this. We extend our complete support to the earthquake-hit people of Gujarat," Raymond Ltd's chairman and managing director Gautam Singhania said.The proceeds from the event will go in form of hampers to all the affected families of Surendranagar district reaching out to 21 villages in Halvad and Pardi. The hampers will comprise of blankets, sheets, towels, clothes, cooking oil, tea, rice, gram, pulses, sugar, biscuits, bucket, mugs, basic utensils and cutlery. UNI
