Bangalore: The recently concluded three-day coaching seminar conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) "Coaching the cricket coaches" saw, for the first time, two renowned women cricketers participate.Former India captain and Arjuna Awardi Shubangi Kulkarni and former India player and coach Sudha Shah were in town to attend the three-day coaching clinic. Thatscricket.com caught up with the two former greats to get a first-hand knowledge as things turned out for them.Shubangi Kulkarni for one is immensely pleased with the way it all turned out. "All these day we just got to hear about biomechanics and stuff like that but now we know what it is all about," she said. "Moreover, they do not insist that this is right and this is wrong. They tell you that if you do it this way, optimum results can be achieved, which is a nice way of teaching."When asked if she intended to impart this newly found knowledge she said, "This summer I intend to work on the girls in Pune, so I would like to teach the girls all that I have learnt here."Sudha Shah, herself being an active coach, found it very educative. With the Rani Jhansi coming up and being the current South Zone coach she intends to work on the girls. She also intends to coach the Tamil Nadu state team and would like to impart all her expertise and see to it that the girls benefit form it.
