Karachi: Geoffrey Boycott has been lined up to return to Pakistan in May and September for more coaching assignments in Lahore's National Cricket Academy, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Tauqir Zia said on Friday. He told Reuters that former England opener Boycott had been asked to confirm the dates of his availability.Earlier this month, Boycott completed a two-week coaching assignment in Pakistan that was sponsored by McDonald's food chain but severely criticised by former Pakistani Test captains and media for costing pounds 30,000 ($ 43,390).''He would be awarded fresh packages and McDonald's is most likely to sponsor him again,'' Zia said. He said Boycott was being asked to visit in May to oversee the country's new cricket academy.Zia added, ''We are hoping to acquire his services again in September...for the home series against New Zealand.''He said Boycott's advice would be sought on the preparation of pitches and other factors when Pakistan play New Zealand in a three-Test and three-match One-day International series in September-October.''Besides guiding some of the senior pros, Boycott's knowledge would be given due consideration as to how Pakistan have to end a four home series win drought,'' Zia said.Pakistan has lost four home series in a row in the last two years, the latest against England late last year.(c) Reuters Limited.
