Bangalore: The Karnataka ladies cricket team notched up a fancy win over Delhi in the on going Senior Nationals at Asansol. According to reports received, the architects of Karnataka's splendid victory were Bollamma who came up with a brilliant 77 and Srivalli who bagged five wickets. Electing to bat first Karnataka piled up 234 in 49 overs for the loss for five wickets. The batsman who really shored up the Karnataka's innings was its opener Bollamma who put on 63 for the first wicket with Laxmi Kumar (20) and then added 95 for the second wicket with B N Roopa (27), while skipper Nooshin al-Khadeer chipped in with 27 to contribute to an impressive total. Delhi in reply folded up for a paltry 93 in 31.4 overs. Though Reema Malhotra and Shabina Ashraf added 58 for the third wicket to raise hopes of a fight-back, it was not to be as off spinner Srivalli wrecked havoc to produce a fine spell which triggered the collapse. Scores: Karnataka 234 for five in 49 overs (Bollamma 77, Rupa 27, Nooshin al-khadeer 27) beat Delhi 93 in 31.4 overs (Reema Malhotra 25, Shabina Ashraf 26, Srivalli five for 18).
