Asansol: Last year's champion Indian Railways thrashed Karnataka to enter into the semi-finals of the Senior National women's cricket tournament here on Saturday. Karnataka won the toss and decided to bat. But they scored only 54 runs in 47 overs, the highest scorer being D M Bollamma (21). Deepa Kulkarni of the Railways took six wickets giving only eight runs, followed by Sunita Singh (two for seven) and Purnima Chowdhary (two for nine). Indian Railways scored 57 runs losing one wicket in 20 overs to post a nine-wicket victory. Rajani was the highest scorer for the Railways with 35 not out. Deepa Kulkarni was declared woman of the match. UNI
