Colombo: Sri Lanka's former skipper Arjuna Ranatunga and his family were enraged and then engaged in a brawl with school boys who played their cricket ball into Ranatunga's family home, police said Sunday.Four students from Asoka College were hospitalised after being beaten by Ranatunga, his brothers and security guards at their home, school teacher Lalith Amarasekara said.Ranatunga, who led Sri Lanka to victory in the 1996 World Cup, was not immediately available for comment, but the state-run 'Sunday Observer' said local police had to intervene to free students held by Ranatunga's guards.The clash had erupted when the students played their ball into the neighbouring house of the Ranatunga's. The former skipper's father is a minister in the Sri Lankan Cabinet.Copyright AFP 2000
