Asansol (West Bengal): Indian women will clash in a One-day International cricket match against their Kiwi counterparts at the Asansol Stadium (Polo ground) in November. Manoj Pant, Additional District Magistrate Asansol who was also the chairman of the 25th Senior National women's cricket championship, told reporters, "In view of the international fixture Rupees 70 lakh has been sanctioned to complete work in the stadium.''He hoped that the match would be a big boost for women's cricket in the state and assured that every measure would be taken to see that arrangements matching international standards were available.Talking about the recently concluded engagement of the national women's cricket tournament, he expressed displeasure over the organisers losing the winner and runner-up trophies and said, "If it is so we are ready to give two new trophies to the winners Indian Railways and runners Andhra Pradesh. But the members of the Women's Cricket Association should inform the local organisers about this."UNI
