Colombo: Former Lankan cricket skipper Arjuna Ranatunga, his brother Prasanna and four others will face an identification parade on March 14 when they are produced before court in connection with a case of alleged attack on students of a local school recently.Arjuna was produced before a magistrate soon after he returned from Kenya last week and allowed bail while Prasanna, a provincial councillor, was remanded but permitted to remain in hospital. The duo were involved in a controversy sparked off after they were accused of assaulting some students of the Asoka Mahavidyalaya in central Colombo following a row over a cricket ball. The students and principal accused the Ranatunga family and their staff of brutally assaulting some of the schoolchildren. On the other hand, the Ranatunga brothers have accused certain vested interests of blowing up a small incident. Their mother said that propaganda and mud-slinging campaigns had been activated following the incident. UNI
