Pune: Railways were 314 for four against Maharashtra at close of play on the fourth day of their Ranji Trophy knock-out pre-quarter final tie being played at the Poona club grounds on Tuesday.Railways have thus swelled their unassailable lead to 437 and have assured themselves a berth in the quarter-finals. They will be meeting Karnataka in the quarter-finals to be played at Delhi from March 20.Yere Goud (83) and skipper Abhay Sharma (5) remained undefeated at the close of play on Tuesday. Kulmani Parida, who was promoted in the batting order, batted with determination to score invaluable 84 runs before getting out with just four overs remaining before the close of play and was thus prevented from making his maiden century.UNI
