Chennai: Will the rematch of the 1986 second 'tied Test' on Saturday in the annals of cricket be contrived to be another Tie, a scribe was eager to know at a press conference on Friday.Addressing the media conference, the legendary Sunil Gavaskar who played a knock of 90 in the tied Test, said the match was initially planned as a 'nostalgic recall' of a historic cricket match that ended most unexpectedly as a tie.Gavaskar, who was representing the event sponsor IMG, which is organising the rematch, said the teams would also be helping the relief contributions for Gujarat earthquake victims. Contributions to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund will also be raised at a charity dinner after the match and another in Mumbai on March 19, Gavaskar announced. Reminiscing on the match Border, Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri said the second tied Test 15 years ago, unfortunately, did not get the same recognition it deserved. There were many great individual performances in the second tied Test, they said recalling Dean Jones fantastic double century, David Boon's century and Indian captain Kapil Dev's 119, which saved India from following on. However, the replay of the tied Test is being played in the Limited Overs format of 45 overs a side featuring nearly all the players who were involved in that match.
