Mumbai: The Indian team management, engaged in the third Test against Australia in Chennai, has released off spinner Sharandeep Singh to play for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy quarter-final against holders Mumbai to be played at the Wankhede stadium from Tuesday. However, Punjab will still be without star batsman Dinesh Mongia, who will now leave for Bangalore for the first One-day international scheduled for Sunday. The Ranji tie ends on Saturday.Mumbai, on the other hand, will have a bigger void with four top stars Sachin Tendulkar, all-rounder Sairaj Bahutule, spinner Nilesh Kulkarni and captain wicket-keeper Samir Dighe busy playing in the third Test. This has weakened the holders considerably and Punjab which has players of the calibre of captain-cum wicket-keeper Vikram Rathore, Yuvraj Singh, Reetinder Singh and Pankaj Dharmani has reason to sense an upset. The teams (from): Punjab: V Rathore (captain, wicket-keeper), Pankaj Dharmani, Sharandeep Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Retinder Singh, Monesh Sharma, Sandeep Sanwal, Gagandeep Singh, Vineet Sharma, Ankur Kakkar, Harmider Jugnu, Ravneet Rickey, Sanjay Dhull, Sandeep Sharma and Babloo Kumar.
