Junior cricketer succumbs to accident injuries

Nashik: An under-22 player of Maharashtra Hrishikesh Sadashiv Deshpande (19) died in a private hospital due to accident injuries here on Tuesday. According to sources, Hrishikesh had met with an accident on March 14 when his motorcycle collided against another vehicle. He was hospitalised following severe head injuries. After a fortnight of struggle, he finally succumbed. Hailing from Nashik, Hrishikesh had played from Maharashtra for under-22 team. He had also represented the state in the Cooch-Behar Trophy, Jasdanwala Trophy, Tanpure Trophy. He was also recommended for the National Cricket Academy by its chief Balwinder Singh Sandhu and was currently employed with Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers.
