London: Worcestershire re-affirmed Graeme Hick's position as county captain on Wednesday following his omission from England's list of centrally contracted players for the new season.Secretary Mike Vockins said, "The committee was unanimous in deciding that we want Graeme to continue as captain. "This does not mean in any way that we believe his Test career has ended but it is now easier for us and for him to focus on his role here."Last year the Zimbabwe born batsman Hick missed half of the county programme due to England duty in his first season as captain of the county team.Former England wicket-keeper Steve Rhodes, who led the side when Hick was away last season, continues as vice-captain.Copyright AFP 2001
