Perth: A West Australian cricketer has reportedly failed a drug test, according to reports on Wednesday. The player, whose name has not been released, will face an independent tribunal on Thursday, ABC radio reported. It was not clear whether the player was an Australian Cricket Board (ACB) contracted player, but he was reportedly not a member of the current Test or One-day squads. The Australian Cricket Board's (ACB's) anti-doping committee will meet in Melbourne on Thursday to consider the case. ACB public affairs manager Brendan McClements confirmed Wednesday the meeting would take place but declined to name the player involved or give any further details.
